At a traffic stop, we were flagged for not having fire extinguisher on us. Instead of us paying 3,161.25 via remita as stated, they seized our license and told us to come to Eleyele(1hr drive);Which is illegal as confirmed by the FRSC ACT, Court of Appeal and dailypost publication

Three years back in my area, there was this guy who got a deal of a lifetime to play in the Indian Super League, I think it was Kerala Blasters then that signed him. He was the talk of the area, everyone looked up to him and young boys used him as a point of contact, it was

The pastor then declared that my brother was responsible for my dad’s problems. Meanwhile, my brother wasn’t even living with us. I was in my room secretly listening to their conversation from the sitting room but nothing was making sense to me 😔 Two things kept running through my mind: Firstly… How was my dad suddenly allowing this pastor into our flat after openly disliking her and the church for so long? Secondly… my dad was an educated and exposed man from a well-to-do family, his dad was a well known judge and siblings are lawyers, so how was he suddenly believing things like this? The whole thing confused me deeply. Then the pastor ordered my dad to bring my brother for “deliverance.” 😔 I don’t know what happened afterwards.. Fast forward to two Sundays after during service, the pastor suddenly started pouring oil on my body and told me to confess. I asked: “Confess what?” The pastor then ordered the usher to take me to the “deliverance room.” 😭 Till today, I still remember one of the usher clearly because he had a very large dark something across his forehead, he seems close to the pastor. As they were dragging me away, I heard my stepmum quietly telling the pastor: “I need to inform her father first…” That evening when we got home, my stepmum explained everything to my dad and begged him to allow “Mummy” conduct deliverance for me because they genuinely believed I was responsible for my dad’s problems 😔 At that point, I could feel confusion in my dad’s voice when he asked asked my stepmom: “But wasn’t so so person she first mentioned? How is it Olajumoke again?” That was when she explained that the pastor said I had spiritually changed my fave to my brother’s own so people would think he was the possessed one.. According to her, after prayers, “God revealed” that I was actually the person behind everything all along. As a child, I remember sitting there confused and terrified, listening to adults genuinely believe those things about me and in that moment, I knew immediately that I might not survive it. I cried throughout that night. The next day, my dad went out and before he got back, I was already taken to the church by my mum stepmom. I was Blindfolded. Tied up. Beaten constantly. No food. No water. Just torture and accusations 😔 By the third day, I already felt like life was slowly leaving my body. Then suddenly, through the darkness, I heard a voice screaming: “Ọmọ mi dà?” (Where is my child?) 😭 It was my mum. Till today, I still cannot explain the relief I felt hearing her voice that day. Apparently, she attended vigil back home and after the vigil, she slept and dreamt that she was burying me. She woke up immediately, prayed and called my dad demanding to speak with me. That was when he casually told her: “She’s in church for deliverance.” My mum entered the next bus to Badagry immediately. When she arrived, my stepmum initially refused to show her where I was until my mum became aggressive with them. It was then she finally led her to the church. My mum found me unconscious inside that dark room. She carried me like a dead child and rushed me to the hospital 😔 A lot happened and unfolded during that period. Sadly, it was also around that same time that Baba Kola Olawuyi passed away(Nkan Nbe) But I’ll stop here for now. So yeah, that was what almost killed me. Maybe if I didn’t have a praying mother, I probably wouldn’t be alive today. I honestly don’t know what to say further but all I know is that some experiences never truly leave you 😔 They may stop hurting loudly, but they quietly change the way you see life forever. Thankfully, I survived, I healed and I chose peace over my trauma. I have forgiven everyone involved and moved on with my life… MY STORY 🫂
Ifeoluwa@olajumokeokenla

I am healed now so I will share this.. I’ll try to make this as brief as possible and I’m sharing this publicly for the first time in 20 years. It started after my junior secondary school Waec. I told my mum I wanted to visit my dad in Badagry because I missed him badly. My mum was uncomfortable with the idea because my dad already had another wife then and she didn’t really trust the step mum, but I kept insisting till I became sick from crying. Eventually, she took me to badagry and before leaving, I still remember her telling my dad: “Mo fẹ́ máa bá ọmọ mi sọ̀rọ̀ every day.” (I want to be speaking with my child every day.) That was the agreement before she left. My stepmum had 3 sons and the youngest was around 4 years old. He became my favourite immediately ❤️ I became their big sister and in my head, we were one big happy family. There was this woman living in another flat who constantly brought food for us every Sunday after church. Jollof rice with Chicken to be precise She was a pastor and owned the church we all attended. The strange thing was that my dad hated both the woman and the church. Every Sunday, I’d hear him arguing with my stepmum about us eating her food and attending the church, but somehow she always found a way around him. Slowly, I stopped speaking to my mum because every time I asked my dad to let me call her, he ignored me. Eventually, I got used to the silence. Now, here’s where things started getting really strange… 😔 I noticed that most people in that church were physically challenged. Almost everybody there had one issue or the other. And here are the strange things going on there, Sometimes during service, the pastor would suddenly scream: “There’s a snake at the back of the church!” And truly, people would run there and claim to see a massive snake Every Sunday came with fear. The pastor would announce things like: “God has delivered another family from witchcraft.” “A child responsible for the family’s problems has died.” Children kept dying in that church and somehow everybody celebrated it like victory because before they die, they would always confess that they were behind their family problems so of course, the family were always happy that their source of problems is gone even tho the problem still remain but one pattern I noticed in that church was this: Before “confessed” there was always already a problem in the family 😔 Then one Sunday during service, a girl named Victoria suddenly started screaming: “Please don’t k*ll me! I’ll confess!” 😭 The entire church became silent… but surprisingly, nobody looked shocked because apparently, things like that happened often there 😔 Meanwhile, it was my first time witnessing something terrifying.. I still remember the pastor questioning her: “Why did you blind your mother?” I honestly can’t remember everything Victoria said but I clearly remember one thing… Victoria told the pastor that she will open her mum’s eyes then she moved close to her mum, touched her face and sand started pouring out from the woman’s eyes. You might not believe this but I swear on my life those things happened. The pastor ordered the ushers to take Victoria to the “deliverance room.” That room was a tiny dark room with chains, blindfolds and one chair. Victoria was tied there, beaten, starved and tortured for 7 days all in the name of “deliverance” The next Sunday, they announced she had died. And the scary part? Her parents were happy because they believed “the witch tormenting the family” was finally gone. Meanwhile, her mother was still blind. As a child, something inside me knew none of it was right 😔 I started having nightmares constantly of dying but I had nobody to tell because I still couldn’t speak to my mum. Then one day, my dad came back from work looking unusually sad 😔 Apparently, he had lost his job. The whole house became heavy and quiet because everyone knew things were about to get difficult. The pastor then declared that

Chelsea Academy is completely transformed compared to last season. Every team won something, from U15 to U21. Whatever Joe Shields is doing there is working big time. We have overtaken City again as the best Academy in England.

Following the unbelievable impact of that simple tweet on unlocking carrier-locked phones, which saved thousands in Nigeria and Ghana, I’m tempted to throw out a challenge: Everyone drop one life hack that could genuinely help others. What’s that one hack you know? Kindly share.

Dear football, Today, I want to share with you that this season will be my last as a professional footballer. After so many years living my dream, I feel it’s time to start a new chapter in my life. Being honest, even though I have been preparing myself for this moment, I found it hard to write this letter. After 20 seasons , many people have played an important role in my career. When I first kicked a ball as a child in Pamplona with my schoolmates, I never imagined the amazing journey ahead. I’m grateful for every moment: the wins, the tough losses, the challenges, and most of all, the people I’ve met and the friendships I’ve made along the way. To my teammates, coaches, and every staff member at all the clubs I’ve been lucky to be part of, thank you for helping me grow as a person and a player every day. Wearing the shirts of CA Osasuna, Olympique Marseille, Chelsea FC, Atlético de Madrid, Sevilla FC, and representing my country at the biggest stages has been a true privilege. Every moment has meant so much to me…
