Restoration work is still ongoing for customers impacted by the recent severe weather, and crews are continuing to work safely and steadily. These hand‑painted notes from the preschoolers at North Hastings Children’s Services in #Bancroft were shared with our teams during this time. @HydroOne, can someone tell me why, after moving to Ontario in the fall of 2024, we've experienced more power outages in the 19 months we've been here than we experienced in 20 years in Alberta?

Severe winter weather continues to impact parts of Ontario, and some roads remain closed, delaying access in affected areas. In #CentralOntario, crews are restoring power following blizzard conditions, and where safe, snowmobiles are being used to reach customers in hard to access locations. Strong winds are expected to continue today along the shorelines of #LakeHuron and #GeorgianBay. In #EasternOntario, severe winds that began overnight are forecast to continue through this evening, and additional outages are possible. @HydroOne Always just says 'Pending classification' on the outage map. This appears to be an over-used catchall that should be addressed.

@HydroOne Please give honest time estimates on when power will be restored. People are planning around the outage map and it’s dependent on your map whether they get a generator in place or hire somebody to check on their buildings. People want a realistic ETR not a lie.
