The former Waverly-Shell Rock state champion was not on Iowa’s roster this past season.
Iowa State add Japan International Rin Sakamoto at 133 pounds.
Sakamoto has a career 0-3 at Oklahoma State over two seasons, but he finished 8th at the Senior World Championships last year in Croatia.

Christian Castillo has announced he is headed to Arizona State.
This past season he redshirted for the Cyclones and will have four years of eligibility. Castillo also relocated to Ames for his senior year of high school.
Former Oklahoma State wrestler and Illinois native Brayden Thompson has announced he is headed to Iowa State.
Thompson wrestled 174 as a true freshman for the Cowboys. He then redshirted in 2024-25 and did not wrestle a match this past season.

Tate Naaktgeboren says he’s STAYING at ISU. Naak entered the portal back on April 1st but posted today he will be back with four years of eligibility.
