ChatGPT is an amazing resource. My teams use it all the time for all kinds of troubleshooting. But I wouldn't worry about AI taking all of our jobs. If you can already be replaced by ChatGPT, you could probably afford to start thinking a little more creatively!
6/ ChatGPT can't design/think creatively
I almost think of ChatGPT as an "average" of all humans.
It pulls everything together from a bunch of sources, but it struggles to push boundaries creatively.
It often churns out bland and uninspiring ideas in more creative fields.
5/ ChatGPT can’t form opinions
As a mere reflection of the information it’s fed, ChatGPT clearly lacks nuance.
There is no such thing as a truly subjective answer from ChatGPT, even when you ask for one.
We’ll leave this stuff to the humans...
I spoke with a customer today. He runs a copywriting business.
When ChatGPT came out, he was sure his business would be ruined.
He's doing just fine.
Here's why ChatGPT STILL can't replace us 🧵🧵
4/ ChatGPT has limited real-time info
ChatGPT is trained on past datasets.
For its first few years, ChatGPT had no knowledge of world events, scientific breakthroughs, and general news that occurred past 2021.
Even now, it's months behind the world’s collective knowledge.
3/ ChatGPT ignores human ethics
ChatGPT can’t write code, make legal judgments, or account for cultural differences based on human ethics.
While coded with some basic guidelines, ChatGPT runs into problems with ethical questions in context.
2/ ChatGPT can’t do complex math
ChatGPT’s focus is on language understanding and generation.
It can generate text that makes it sound like it’s good at math, but it really isn’t.
This results in some pretty useless answers.
1/ ChatGPT can’t make predictions
ChatGPT relies solely on past trends & historical data.
This model imposes limitations on its “intelligence.”
When prompted, ChatGPT refuses to predict events with human factors such as athletic competitions, election results and stock prices.
