With the rising impacts of #ClimateChange, #farmers in @NyandaruaCG018 are embracing #IrrigationFarming. Through PCB project training, extension officers have been on the forefront advising farmers on the proper #irrigation practices to help reduce losses in #Potato #farming.

Focusing on #CropRotation, #Farmers participating in the PCB Project often plant other crops in addition to potatoes. Project trainers give #farmers advice on which crops, such as cabbage and peas, rotate well with #Potatoes.

Good knowledge on the right amount and type of fertilizer to apply during planting has helped ensure increased production. #Farmers have been advised on different types of fertilizer to apply depending on the outcomes of #SoilTesting that #PCB trainers help interpret.

#CropRotation is crucial in helping nutrients return to the soil and also interrupts disease and pest cycles. Through the PCB project in #Kenya, #farmers have been trained on the importance of crop rotation and the right plants to grow after #potatoes.
