@VaclavzAmeriky @baseballstatcz He has the type of frame and fluidity that would make it fairly easy for professional coaches to add 5-6 MPH on the fastball in the next couple years and his curveball is going to be a plus pitch. He reminds me quite a bit of Adam Macko

Slovakia got its first MLB player since independence this year in Adam Macko. They’ve gotten 1 player ever signed out of Slovakia. That could soon change. 17 year old LHP Jakub Križan throws upper 80’s with significant projectability and has debuted in top Czech league

@thefrilledshark European pitchers now are quite a bit better than they were a decade ago. Need to challenge them at Single-A sooner. Can’t wait until he absolutely carves up some first round picks later this year and people jump on the bandwagon

Giacomo Taschin with another 2 1/3 scoreless outing with 3 strikeouts today. He has a 1.42 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 12 2/3 innings. Virtually every site did not have him as a top 50 Blue Jays prospect. I’m much higher on him. He’s a top 20 Blue Jays prospect if not higher.

Giacomo Taschin, the MVP of the 2024 U18 European Championship for Italy, made his minor league debut today for the FCL Blue Jays. The Rovigo native went 4 shutout innings with 3 strikeouts and retired the final 10 hitters he faced

@thefrilledshark He has started twice. He didn’t start today because Shane Bieber was on a rehab start and all these games are pre-planned outings. I’m hoping he will get called up to Dunedin by July 1st

@BaseUnstitched NCAA baseball committee uses the RPI when it will help create “storylines” in a regional and then completely disregards it to do the same for other regionals. They are not serious individuals.

Why have quantifiable metrics if we’re not going to use quantifiable metrics? Why do we leave the fate of college athletes in the hands of people that couldn’t possibly watch enough games to make sound judgment?

Rashawn Pinder, a Rangers 18 year old outfield prospect from The Bahamas, has got it going in the ACL after a slow start. In his last 8 games, he is hitting.400/.520/.750 and had his first ever multi-homer game in the minors on Saturday. A very intriguing under the radar prospect

Sources are telling @FutureSox and @JustBB_Media UTL Rikuu Nishida is expected to join the White Sox in Chicago tomorrow for his debut. The 11th Rd. selection out of Oregon is carrying a .454 OBP and .849 OPS in AAA Charlotte.
