@vishalmisra No other sport takes such a sanctimonious attitude towards its players. Cricket has unreasonable and ill-defined expectations from its professional athletes. We have seen far worse on a soccer field (recall the Uruguayan biter who was back on the field after a token suspension)

@vishalmisra Yes... CA should have fired them from their leadership roles and not added to the icc suspension period. Why are they not playing in the ipl? Cricket cannot afford to lose such players for years. Long bans for drugs or match fixing but not for “professional fouls” like this.

@vishalmisra Who cares? We dont watch them because they are choir boys. Give them the penalty that is prescribed in the rules (icc level 2 offense) and the let them play. Maybe fire them as captain/vice captain. But do not deprive the cricketing public of their top players.
