Ok I think I have the perfect analogy to help the europoors understand how they are misunderstanding their houses for being insulated and American houses for not being insulated
They think their houses, a heavy coffee cup, is a thermos, and our houses, a thermos, is a plastic water bottle

Those of us raised in the 70s and '80s were drilled the fire hazard the dryer was. One of the hardcore fears instilled into us by our parents, that we would leave the house and the clothes dryer would be on and we would come back in the house would be a blazing inferno.

@redw1nesuprnova So you segregate one room and cool it, spending a majority of your time in that room. That's what we do in florida with the window units in the houses without air. The rest of the house is stuffy, but if you eat cold food and avoid cooking it's doable. 🤷

@Ihateadoption infrastructure makes it so the cool air will not spread through the house, you’d have to buy one for every single room, and your electric bill would skyrocket, which is not accessible

instead of making fun of europeans for being impacted by heatwaves maybe we should all acknowledge the bigger problem of AC and other shelter to cool down not being accessible

I don't think it's "pissed". I think that Americans find watching Europeans complain about the same thing every year and acting as though it's an new situation annoying.
Much like when Americans complain about tornadoes or hurricanes.
Really I think we just piss each other off.

These people that make fun of heatwaves in Europe don’t understand how different heatwaves are in other countries. Either way, people ARE dying of heatstroke, this is not the time to joke around. It just shows your lack of empathy.
