The chubbicorn cabal printed 50M+ on memes collectively. There was no paid group to farm followers. Just a group of friends who are very good at crypto. Average age is 35. Most had jobs and families. Every decision we made was based on info straight off the TL and convergence from different chats each of us were in and group analysis of all the info coming in. All the money was made by holding things for months to a year plus sometimes. No one knows who we are. Most accounts barely tweet and have less than 2k followers. We don’t tweet pnl screens because we are all adults. We aren’t here to impress anyone. We are here to print wealth for our families in a market we have a huge edge in. The only current size trades we have open are hype and pumpcade. Glhf.

Cobie explains how he finds the next big thing in Crypto “I’ve never known what the next thing is gonna be, if you told me it would be pictures of apes in 2020, I would’ve said that doesn’t sound right” “My mental model is you isolate your risk and you try novel things… instead of trying to figure out why something won’t work, you might as well give it a go” “If you did this with Hyperliquid, you ended up a millionaire from the airdrop… same with FriendTech and buying ape pictures” “People’s instinct is to say this is stupid and won’t work but you need to invert that and ask what if this worked?” “Every time I see something weird, I just give it a go and try to figure out if it’s a new thing that’s gonna be important”

IRL is the alpha ... but @BoredApeYC knew that already. The world is catching on.
Jonas@jonaswillett1

The IRL connection economy is a $400B+ market. And companies are racing to own it. In the last 6 months, $800M+ in capital was deployed on "IRL" bets. @Tinder invested $60M into a new Events feature for connecting matches in-person. They're pivoting to IRL and offering experiences such as speakeasies, raves, and pottery classes. @222place: raised a $10.1M Series A to curate blind social experiences for Gen Z. Personality-matched groups sent to hyperlocal nightlife events. @JagermeisterUSA launched BestNightsVC - the only venture fund in the world dedicated solely to nightlife and IRL connection. 16 portfolio companies across 4 continents. @timeleft: dinner with 5 strangers, every Wednesday. €18M ARR. 6,500 dinners/week across 200+ cities. Dion: members-only social app where the first move is buying someone a real drink, redeemed IRL. 10K members, 30K+ on the waitlist founded by @revekkapal. Pie: Bonobos founder @dunn built an IRL friendship app. $24M raised. 130K+ MAU. @weroad_official: group trips for 20-30 year olds who don't know each other beforehand. $150M valuation. Matchbox: is an algorithm-powered matching platform for IRL events and has powered over 100,000 connections. founded by @liamjmcgregor (prev @MarriagePact) New dating apps like Known @Celesteamadon, Cerca @MylesCerca, and Ditto @AllenWangzian are aiming to improve connection amongst young people. Billion-dollar companies are paying $$$ for community and events leads: - @AnthropicAI: Marketing Events Manager ($255k) - @tryramp: Community Manager ($223k) - @tryramp: Events & Culture Manager ($181k) - @duolingo: Senior Community Manager ($193k) - @NotionHQ: Community Programs Lead Everyone knows the more time we spend online, the more valuable real-life connection becomes. The question isn't whether IRL wins. It's who facilitates it best.

I've been off the timeline for a bit. Not absent from the space — I've still been here every day, watching, thinking, staying close to what matters. But for the last few months I chose to go quiet and focus inward — on figuring out what my next move in crypto really looks like, and what kind of work actually lights me up. As that clarity has taken shape and I've been actively pursuing it, I felt it was time to put myself back out there and share what this process has looked like. After my time with Apechain came to an end, I took a step back from the TL to reflect on my journey in crypto thus far, and think seriously about what matters most to me in what I'm looking for next. What inspired me most about that chapter wasn't the role itself — it was the collective energy of a small team with real ambition and high expectations for what we could build together. That feeling of shared purpose, of writing something new. And equally as important to me was the opportunity to be an advocate and partner for hundreds of ambitious builders, projects, and protocols trying to achieve PMF and carve out a place for themselves in this industry. Whether it was through funding programs I built, workshopping roadmaps, or simply being a source of consistent chain support — being the person they could trust and rely on gave me a deep and genuine sense of fulfillment. I want to continue making that kind of impact. On the industry, and on the people building it. The last few months have been a humbling exercise in persistence. 100+ applications. Countless interviews. Rejection emails from companies I never even got to have a real conversation with. And one opportunity I went all in on — two months and five rounds deep, further than anyone had ever gotten in that process — that I lost at the very last moment. That one stung. BUT... persistence and relentlessness in the face of rejection are exactly the types of character traits required in the roles I specialize in. So we charge it to the game, shake it off, and double down. I've spent five years in this space every single day — through every cycle, every winter, every moment that reminded me why this industry is unlike anything else being built right now. I believe in where crypto is headed more than ever, and I want to continue being part of building it. I've worked across every external-facing function in the space (and before) — ecosystem, partnerships, customer success, growth, BD, account management. Wherever I've gone, I've brought high energy, genuine passion, and a deep level of thought that is more focused on outcomes than on objectives. I'm constantly analyzing how process can be improved, executing with a first principles, experimental mindset, and looking for new ways to predict and solve problems before they become problems. I believe every process is meant to be broken and rebuilt better — and that the difference between a good organization and a great one lives in the people willing to do that work relentlessly. What I'm actually built for is harder to put in a title: I thrive in ambiguity, build the playbook as I go, and do my best work in high-growth environments where the north star is clear but the road isn't paved yet. I'm looking for a team that's ambitious and scrappy, moves fast, embraces ambiguity, and wants people who help figure out the playbook — not just follow it. Philosophically progressive and intrinsically motivated by a desire to win. Unafraid to make bold moves and fail. Clear on direction. Where everyone gets their hands dirty and contributors help shape the company, not just execute within it. Those of you who've known me over the last five years know that I've spent most of my time in this space helping others — personally and through my work at Thrive and Apechain — and have rarely asked for anything in return. If I've made an impact on you, or you hold me in high regard, now is the time I'm asking. Help me bust down some doors. If you know a team building like that and who resonates with my mindset, I'd love an intro. DMs open, as always. Would love to chat 🫡
