bracket reset is the most competitively fair format, which is why it should be used. but if it can’t be used, then a BO9 with a map advantage is the 2nd most fair if it can’t be used, then a BO7 with a map advantage is the 2nd most fair but if it can’t be used, then the entire bracket should be single elimination basically ANY of those options are better than the current format we have now. there’s a reason it is a topic of conversation every single sunday of every CDL event. the format was almost never a discussion point from 2011-2019.
