We’re coming up to the anniversary of Pip’s death.
Here’s some words I wrote in 2021 of the promise I made to her.

Nobody should be ‘written off’ and told they can’t succeed.
With the right support and adjustments, disabled people can thrive at work.
It’s time to unleash that potential.

@johnpringdns @Debbie_abrahams @CommonsWorkPen @DeathsByWelfare @NAOorguk What they fail to understand is we will never forget. We will fight for justice for our loved ones until we either die or the DWP reforms

@johnpringdns @Debbie_abrahams @CommonsWorkPen @DeathsByWelfare @NAOorguk I’m continuously heartbroken and unsurprised by the DWPs actions. This has gone beyond backtracking. I sat in a meeting room with CAPITA heads to be told that Pip’s death wouldn’t be in vain and not only are more people dying but the DWP are refusing to even investigate

Had the most amazing time co-hosting a podcast with @chinatmills for @HJusticeLdn and it’s OUT!!
The love and mutual adoration we all have for each other shines through; reminding us how vital solidarity is against state violence.

I’m so proud of and grateful for John. He’s dedicated years of his life fighting again benefit deaths. He’s attended inquests, held grieving families hands and been a thorn in the DWPs side.
Pips got a chapter in this book and I know she’d love him just as much as I do.

Excited to reveal the cover of The Department, my book for @PlutoPress on how DWP's actions led to countless deaths in the post-2010 era. It’s the result of 10+ yrs of research. Publication next August. More details Thurs. Thanks to @SteveLeard for his powerful, striking design.

I’d love to say something eloquent and inspiring but really this has just filled me with rage.
If a disabled person misses their assessments they are disqualified and/or sanctioned. Where is this unmoving, callous and rigid attitude for their own governance?

🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨 The UK Government is refusing to attend a meeting at the UN to review its treatment of Disabled people under the UNCRPD. It has told the UN Committee that it does not want to undergo public scrutiny on its progress at the meeting. disabilityrightsuk.org/news/uk-govern…

Could not have thought of a better way to commemorate Pip on her comaversary than co-hosting a podcast with @chinatmills. It was the most healing and supportive space and working with China is always a true joy
