SID: A global movement – Spotlight on North and Central America In North America, Safer Internet Day is part of a worldwide campaign to make the internet safer for children and young people. Schools, families, organisations, and leaders come together throughout February to support safer online experiences across the region. Here’s a snapshot of what’s happening across North America: 📍 Canada – Canadian Centre for Child Protection (Cybertip.ca) resources: the Canadian Centre for Child Protection (C3P) launched tools for educators and schools to respond to the non‑consensual distribution of intimate images (NCDII). (cybertip.ca/en/campaigns-a…) 📍 United States – Smart Digital Parenting Webinar: Safer Internet Day USA supported a Smart Digital Parenting webinar designed to help families and caregivers learn practical approaches to supporting safe, respectful and responsible online behaviour for children and teens.
