📺 New: SecurityScorecard CISO Steve Cobb spoke with CBS about the recent Canvas breach and the growing risks facing shared education platforms. 🎤 “Attackers are going to victimize these systems because there's so much data possible. What they're looking to do is beat their ROI, their mission, which is to financially harm people,” Cobb said. 🌐 The incident highlights a broader issue: when a single provider supports thousands of institutions, one breach can quickly impact an entire academic ecosystem. 🔍 Repeated attacks also raise difficult questions about visibility, monitoring, and whether enough changed after prior incidents. Watch the full interview for more insights on why proactive cybersecurity and continuous monitoring matter now more than ever: cbsnews.com/newyork/video/…

Multimodal AI is reshaping data engineering. Data prep is shifting from SQL + CPUs → inference + GPUs. Hear why in this episode from @robertnishihara, Anyscale Co-Founder na2.hubs.ly/H05q6ZC0

We taught two F.03 robots to clean a room and make a bed in under 2 minutes - fully autonomous.

Introducing Realtime TTS-2, a new generation of voice model built for realtime conversation. It is the first voice model that hears the conversation, takes natural-language voice direction, holds one voice identity across over 100 languages, and speaks like a person who is paying attention. The result is voice AI that feels as good as it sounds. Try it out: tinyurl.com/RealtimeAI Learn More: tinyurl.com/TTS-2Blog

Today, we are excited to announce that Mirantis has entered into an agreement to be acquired by @IREN_Ltd — bringing together IREN's AI infrastructure scale and Mirantis's open source k0rdent AI platform to accelerate the build-out of the open standard for AI infrastructure. Every major shift in computing follows the same pattern. A new technology wave arrives, complexity explodes, and the market eventually converges on two types of platforms: proprietary stacks built for their builders' purposes, and open standards built for the whole industry. Linux. Android. Kubernetes. In each case the open standard won — and accelerated the market in doing so. AI infrastructure is the next wave. The open standard for this era is yet to be established. That is what Mirantis and IREN are building together. Mirantis will operate independently, our mission unchanged: to continue supporting our existing customers as before, to democratise GPU consumption, and to enable enterprises and providers everywhere to deliver and consume AI infrastructure faster and more easily. What changes is the scale at which we can pursue that mission. IREN brings hundreds of thousands of GPUs — creating the largest and most robust reference implementation of k0rdent AI in the industry, available to the whole market. The validation is already there. NVIDIA has named Mirantis as one of only three founding ISV partners in its NVIDIA AI Cloud Ready initiative. IREN, Mirantis, and NVIDIA represent exactly the combination that initiative was designed for. The work has already started. This partnership accelerates it. 📰 Dr. Aleksandr Yampolskiy’s TEDx talk, The Digital Butterfly Effect, continues to resonate beyond the stage. A recent article captured a key idea: resilience defines how we operate in a system shaped by constant technological change. Small flaws in software — and small decisions from people — can trigger consequences that ripple across companies and countries. 🦋 🛠️ As Dr. Yampolskiy put it: resilience starts with people who question assumptions and act with clarity. One decision, one action, one moment of transparency can shift outcomes across an entire ecosystem, too. 🛡️ This is the reality of modern cyber risk. It’s interconnected, fast-moving, and shaped by choices many overlook. BREAKING: First-Ever Full Tour of Figure's Humanoid HQ CEO Brett Adcock Exclusive look through every department on their San Jose campus: BotQ Factory, Testing, Design, Demos & more. Brett walks us through how Figure is built: - System integration lab: where robots are stress-tested with software faults & physical pushes - Helix AI: team floor where the controls & neural network engineers train the vision-language-action model that runs onboard every Figure robot - Reinforcement learning & stability testing: where Figure demos the Vulcan project — surviving a lost knee mid-task - Home: environment where Figure 03 autonomously tidies a living room using their Helix neural network (no teleoperation) - BotQ: manufacturing facility where heads, batteries, and limbs come together on the assembly line, including the custom-built battery line & end-of-line burn-in bays - Industrial design studio: (opened publicly for the first time) housing every generation of Figure robot ever built, including: Figure 01 with its Frankenstein forearms, Figure 02, & the sleek Figure 03 that recently appeared at the White House, plus the evolution of Figure's hands & feet Brett shares why he believes humanoid robots may achieve AGI before any other form factor, why Figure pivoted entirely from hand-coded controls to neural networks, & teases that Figure 04 will be their "iPhone 1 moment." This was so much fun! Big thank you to Brett & the team at Figure for opening the doors for us! @adcock_brett @Figure_robot 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐒 (00:00) Inside Figure’s Humanoid Campus (00:48) The humanoid factory (03:18) First humanoid guest at the White House (05:29) Controlling a robot with infinite movements (10:46) The truth about robot failures (13:00) Attacking a humanoid robot (testing responses) (16:12) Building a general purpose robot (23:05) The "Never Fall" protocol (28:56) Is the home robot teleoperated?
