When the main man from @Ryanair drops in for a visit 🛫🛫 The airport welcomed Michael O’Leary, Group CEO, Ryanair to the West of Ireland today as he paid the airport a special visit to mark our 40 years of partnership and to launch their biggest ever summer schedule.

New travel document requirements will come into effect for travel between the Republic of Ireland and the UK on Aer Lingus. Effective from 25th February 2026, all Aer Lingus customers (including Irish and British nationals) will require a passport or an Irish passport card for travel, and non-Irish and non-British nationals will be required to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) or eVISA. Photo identification other than a passport or Irish Passport Card will no longer be accepted from that date. Passengers using Aer Lingus's daily service to Heathrow from Ireland West Airport are advised to note the new ID requirements if travelling on or after the above date.
