Once again, officers are responding to munition impact sites in civilian areas, including within the Old City of Jerusalem-walking distance from holy sites that remain closed under life-saving guidelines for this very reason. The Iranian regime shows zero regard for sacred sites while targeting civilians of all religions and backgrounds

Following continued Iranian ballistic missile fire targeting residential communities, Israel Police, Border Police, and bomb disposal units are operating across multiple districts to secure impact sites, neutralize hazardous munitions debris, and assist residents. Forces will continue operating wherever needed to ensure public safety.

Earlier today, despite the high-alert status, police allowed prayers to be conducted on the street outside the Old City without intervention. However, officers were required to enforce Home Front Command life-saving guidelines when crowds later exceeded authorized capacity and seemingly attempted to breach security perimeters into the Old City.
Officers utilized dispersal means to prevent a dangerous overcrowding situation, particularly as falling munitions and missile sirens can occur at any moment in an area with limited to no protected shelter. Our priority remains the safety of all residents and the maintenance of public order; we underline that dispersal is conducted solely for the safety of the public.

Today, Iranian missiles rained debris over Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Jewish Quarter.
Police officers are currently on the ground securing the scenes and collecting missile debris which targeted our civilians. What we experienced today emphasizes the significance of the Home Front Command life-saving guidelines, which include public closures of holy sites given the very limited protected shelters in the area.

Officers from the Central District, together with Border Police, are currently handling scenes involving fallen projectiles in central Israel. Damage has been caused at the scene; at this stage, no injuries have been reported.
We call on the public to remain attentive and follow safety instructions, avoid arriving at missile impact sites, refrain from touching debris or missile fragments, and allow police and rescue forces to carry out life-saving operations

Watch the first moments captured on officers’ body cameras as they respond to a missile impact in the Israeli-Arab community of Zarzir.
As a result of the Iranian regime’s continued targeting of civilians, officers evacuated residents and assisted around 60 people with light to moderate injuries.

During operational activity, undercover Border Police officers in the Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem identified a violent dispute involving firearms that posed an immediate danger to human life.
Officers acted to neutralize the threat. Three individuals were evacuated with varying degrees of injuries. Jerusalem District officers are restoring order and an investigation has been opened.

The Israel Police commends the public for their high level of cooperation with today’s Homefront Command safety directives in the Old City of Jerusalem. While the holy sites for all religions, including the Temple Mount Complex, Western Wall, and Church of the Holy Sepulcher remain temporarily closed due to the ongoing Iranian ballistic missile fire, your adherence to these guidelines is directly saving lives. 🇮🇱

Due to ongoing ballistic threats, life-saving Home Front Command directives are in effect, including within the holy sites of Jerusalem. We urge the public to prioritize these life-saving guidelines, as the safety of every citizen is our priority.
Recent Iranian missile strikes, some landing just a few hundred meters from these sites, underscore the necessity of these measures. We urge the public to follow all official safety instructions.
