@slushly_ The problem is that an elo-based ranked pvp mode has been in the works for like 2 years now and more people are losing hope by the day 😔

Now that we know about the Danger Mario stuff as well as the general corruption of the tier list over the years. Can we finally make some moves towards making the PvP scene.. better? I’m decently good at the game but I’ve never really wanted to “tier test” because the tier list is both very stupid and VERY toxic. I think PVP testing should be a client specific activity that’s determines rankings based on an elo system like mcsr is. I’ve seen SMP or Diamond SMP best of 3s last longer than some speed runs, imagine how silly it would be if in order to be properly ranked someone had to sit there and watch your run in order to determine your skill level. That just sounds ridiculous lol. Yet we’ve done this for PvP for literal years. Makes 0 sense. Also, make testing specific to a client built for it with an allowed and banned mods list that way cheating isn’t an option. (It would still be possible I suppose, but I assume it’d be LESS possible (???) under these circumstances.) Just seems silly we’ve taken such a large aspect of our community and rammed our heads into a wall over and over again for no reason expecting things to change. If we want change, we have to make it, sitting here talking about how things need to change isn’t going to do anything to get there. Also this situation shouldn’t be blamed on women at all lol, if you’re taking this as an opportunity to say “I told you a woman could never be top 1” then you’re a moron and you should hop off the socials 😭 This is not an opportunity to hate women so stop taking it as one, they go through more than enough in this community, dating a well established woman in the community has given me the opportunity to see the extent it can go to. Bottom lines Comp PvP has sucks Support women Fuck DangerBum Let’s make competitive pvp actually enjoyable for once.
