Just over a year ago today, the Oilers shut out the Golden Knights in Game 4. Henrique scored two goals, the Edmonton skyline was shining, and the Moss Pit was bumping.
A year later, they're about to fire Kris Knoblauch, who helped guide them to back-to-back Cup Finals.

If there's any silver lining, the Oilers' last two coaches have led the team to progress in the playoffs but ultimately plateaued.
Woodcroft: 3rd round in 2022, plateaued in 2023.
Knoblauch: Two SCF appearances, plateaued after that.

@ThebetterVinni @EdmOilerlytics @qauckenbush17 I'm not sure if Bowman deserves that much onus on the Broberg/Holloway situation. He was thrown a curveball 20 days into the job. That is on Jackson for not handling it earlier and Holland for allowing it to fester to that point.

Bowman has had two GLARING BAD moves, hopefully Walman’s deal doesn’t trend in that direction.
I’ve liked the secondary additions from Stan Bowman however, he’s found decent depth additions.

People keep saying Bowman is the reason for the loss instead of Knoblauch. While the Jarry and Frederic moves are bad and I’d be fine firing him because of that. Some of our best playoff performers were Podz, Kap, Walman, Dickinson, Murphy all brought in by Bowman
