“Babe, ya entra kunamon agua”
JD Kent Pioquinto, 28, the second engineer of the sunken MV Trisha Kerstin 3, was able to inform his partner through an online message that seawater had entered the vessel early Monday morning.
Pioquinto’s partner, Tiffany Kaithe Lim, shared his last message when the ferry began encountering problems. After that message, he has not communicated again.
“Babe, ya entra kunamon agua (Babe, napasukan kami ng tubig),” Pioquinto sent in a message at 12:52 a.m. on Monday.
Lim has since appealed for intensified search operations, as they have been waiting for more than 36 hours.
“I’m asking for continued and extra search efforts for my partner and other missing passengers and crew,” she said. (📸: Tiffany Kaithe Lim) | via @HernelTocmo
