In 1968, #ninasimone performed “Ain’t Got No, I Got Life” live in London, delivering a performance filled with raw intensity. Blending classical, jazz, blues, and folk, Simone created a sound entirely her own. Beyond her music, she used her voice to speak out against injustice.

In 1972, @TheWithersBill performed “Ain’t No Sunshine” live on Old Grey Whistle Test, showcasing the raw emotion and simplicity that defined his sound. Known for his honest, “everyman” songwriting, Withers created timeless songs about love, loss, and resilience.

On March 7, 1965, #ellafitzgerald joined #dukeellington on The Ed Sullivan Show to perform “It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing).” Known as the “First Lady of Song,” Ella redefined jazz vocals with her unmatched range, shaping generations of artists.

Chick Corea & the Freedom Band live at the North Sea Jazz Festival, 2010. Formed as a return to acoustic jazz, the Freedom Band brought together Corea with Roy Haynes, Kenny Garrett, and Christian McBride to explore swing, spontaneity, and collective improvisation.

McCoy Tyner performs John Coltrane’s “Giant Steps” in a rare solo piano performance, Hamburg, 1996. As Coltrane’s longtime collaborator, Tyner helped shape the harmonic language of this landmark work: part of the living lineage of jazz we strive to preserve.
