Suicide Vest Teenager In Court. A 16 year old schoolboy, a recent convert to Islam, appeared in court today accused of plotting to commit acts of terrorism on Britain's streets after police discovered a suicide vest, homemade explosives and an cache of weapons inside his family home in Oxfordshire. The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, faces seven terrorism charges after counter-terrorism officers raided the property on March 12. Prosecutors told Westminster Magistrates Court the boy had stockpiled: - A functioning suicide bomb vestprimed for devastation. - Improvised explosive devices capable of causing carnage. - 17 knives including machetes and swords. - A knuckle duster. - Several copies of the notorious Islamic State propaganda magazine Inspire. In the most shocking allegations, the boy is accused of sharing footage of the Paris Bataclan massacre with his cousin last November, followed by battlefield videos showing Islamic State executions, explosions and mass killings. The court heard he refused to hand over his phone passcode to detectives, a move that landed him an extra charge under anti-terror laws. Despite entering not guilty pleas, the youth was immediately remanded in custody and will now face trial at the Old Bailey on April 17, 2026.
