People keep asking “why now?” as if staying until the contract ends was something he allowed to do, when it’s quite clear that the company controls both the decision and the timing. This issue is simple, Heeseung wanted more musical freedom. He’s an artist with strong musicality who wants to create, write, and show his own music. But when a group is heavily scheduled, overworked, and treated mainly as a touring machine, individual artistry suddenly becomes “inconvenient.” Instead of adjusting schedules or supporting his work, the solution becomes: then leave Wanting to make music is not ego.
