Just finished reading aloud the eight book Ramona Quimby series by Beverly Cleary. SO GOOD

I have always loved marijuana. It has been a source of joy and comfort to me for many years. And I still think of it as a basic staple of life, along with beer and ice and grapefruits - and millions of Americans agree with me.

@PaulHoles I went looking today for news or updates on my old colleague Terence Wong. So sad to read of his passing. Thank you for honoring him here.

My heart goes out to his wife, his daughters, the rest of his family, and his coworkers at the lab who I know are struggling with the loss of such a young, fun and bright friend.

I'm besides myself over the loss of DS Criminalist Terence Wong from the Contra Costa Sheriff's Crime Lab who suddenly passed away today at 41, leaving behind a beautiful wife and two very young kids.

@robotsuffrage Pumpkin seeds are delicious and I fear widely neglected by the legions of once a year pumpkin carvers emerging in autumn. I brought Tupperware to a group pumpkin carving contest recently, and emerged with a decent haul, but maybe only 25% of what was generated there. Wasted yums!

I saved months of parmesan cheese rinds in the freezer. I simmered the rinds down for hours in water. Then I made potato leek soup with that recycled parmesan stock. It was good!
