Unpopular Baseball (Sports) Dad Opinion: You should never want your kid to be the best one on the team. The goal should be development not social clout. Young athletes don’t get better by being the best on their squad. They become what they’re around. A hill I will proudly die on.

@jakequery @tayloru There’s a great book, Mistaken Identity, written by Don & Susie Van Ryn, Newell & Colleen Cerak, and Whitney Cerak, about this heartbreaking accident. It’s a beautifully written book; I think of the victims & families often as I drive I-69 frequently.

Hard to believe the @tayloru van crash was 20 years ago, yesterday. The marker still sits just south of MM266.
