A flagship keynote panel at #DLI2025 delved into the critical topic of AI policy and national strategies for Africa. Moderated by @jane_munga, Fellow, at @CarnegieEndow (Carnegie Endowment for International Peace), the panel featured powerful insights from: @BarbsGlover, Program manager at: (@_AfricanUnion African Union Development Agency) Virginia Dignum, Professor at Umeå University, contributor to EU AI Act & UNESCO counsellor) @vukosi , Chair of Data Science at the University of Pretoria (@UPTuks), @DSFSI_Research and co-founder of @LelapaAI . The session also included a special pre-recorded message from H.E. Ms Lerato D. Mataboge (@LDMataboge) from the African Union.
