@dixiekitten72 Absolutely. As a small business owner, I completely feel you. I’ll work to lower the cost of private health insurance too.

@jasonesteves Self-employed families are getting crushed too. We’ve paid full price for decades, don’t qualify for subsidies, and premiums just keep rising. Medicaid expansion doesn’t fix that gap — we’re still left out.

Today, on the 16th anniversary of the ACA, Georgia is still blocking Medicaid expansion because Republican leaders chose not to act — from Donald Trump to leaders here at home like Geoff Duncan. Health care is about health, wealth, and opportunity. Georgians deserve better.

Had a great time this weekend in Middle Georgia — from the Cherry Blossom Festival to another Black Men’s Roundtable and meaningful conversations with local leaders. As governor, I’ll continue leading with our communities and centering Georgians every step of the way.

We’ve gotten a few new followers lately, so I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I’m Jason Esteves — Columbus raised, former teacher, public servant, and someone who believes Georgia’s best days are still ahead.

Last night, I was honored to receive the Alumni in Community Leadership Award at Teach For America Atlanta’s 25th Anniversary Gala . Grateful to serve alongside leaders expanding opportunity for every student and community. Opportunity shouldn’t be limited by your ZIP code.

Eid Mubarak to all of my Muslim friends and neighbors in Georgia and across the world. As families come together to celebrate, we’re reminded that our strength as a state comes from looking out for one another. Wishing you all peace, joy, and blessings!

As governor, I will repeal Georgia’s abortion ban, and I will continue fighting for women to access the care they need and make their own healthcare decisions without fear of prosecution or losing their lives.

I have always believed that the State of Georgia has no place in a doctor’s office, dictating women’s healthcare decisions.
