STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE PRESIDENT TINUBU ENGAGES GLOBAL INVESTORS IN PARIS President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has met with global investors in Paris, France, emphasising transparency and fiscal discipline, and explaining the rationale for the swift implementation of bold reforms.   At the meeting, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr Taiwo Oyedele, highlighted Nigeria's strong GDP growth in dollar terms in 2025.   He said Nigeria recorded 11.2% GDP growth in dollar terms last year, a record that reinforced the country's ambition to achieve a $1 trillion economy in 2030.   Oyedele emphasised the government's near-term priorities of translating reforms into results for the Nigerian people. He also pledged to publish quarterly financial data.   The Director General of the Debt Management Office, Mrs Patience Oniha, assured investors of the government’s responsible approach to debt financing and its focus on sustainable debt management.   The investors were from Citibank and France's Amundi, led by Valerie Baudson. There were also BlueCrest, the Britain- and South Africa-based Ninety One, Kirkoswald Capital, Principal Finisterre, US groups Prudential Global Investment Management (PGIM) and Mesarete Capital.   President Tinubu, who left Nigeria on Sunday for a three-nation trip, said the economic reform program of his administration includes measures to remove economic distortions and stabilise macroeconomic indicators, laying the foundation for sustained inclusive growth.   He said his government is committed to deepening reforms, enhancing transparency across the oil value chain, and implementing a multi-pronged security strategy, including police decentralisation and disrupting terrorist financing.   "The focus remains on policy stability and diligent execution to ensure these strategic shifts translate into concrete benefits for all Nigerians", President Tinubu said.   Some of the investors who spoke at the meeting commended the government's transformative reforms and expressed optimism about the Nigerian economy.   One of the investors asked President Tinubu about his post-2027 agenda. He promised to strengthen fiscal discipline and transparency, and to deliver policy consistency. Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser to the President, (Information & Strategy) May 5, 2026

Today, I witnessed the sheer force of the @powerof10million movement at the National Women’s Mega Empowerment and Rally, a bold demonstration of this administration’s commitment to inclusive economic growth. Under the visionary leadership of Her Excellency, Senator @SenRemiTinubu, CON, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, women’s economic empowerment is being firmly advanced as a strategic pillar of national development, reinforcing inclusive growth and sustainable prosperity. Congratulations my sister, the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development , @hm_womenaffairs , for this remarkable milestone and for driving this transformative agenda with purpose and impact. This movement reinforces a critical truth: Nigeria’s economic future will be significantly shaped by the strength, resilience, and enterprise of its women. We saw this firsthand today, celebrating female innovators driving real economic impact - proudly spotlighting trailblazers like Chief Mrs. Chinwe Ezenwa, visionary founder of @Lelookafrica and LeLook Academy. NIGERIAN ARMY LAUNCHES MAIDEN 2026 RSM CONVENTION IN KADUNA TO BOLSTER COMBATE COMBAT READINESS. The Nigerian Army has officially kicked off its first-ever Regimental Sergeant Majors (RSM) Convention of 2026. This landmark event is designed to fortify leadership, discipline, and professional excellence across the service. Themed “Empowering Regimental Sergeant Majors to Drive Combat Readiness and Professional Excellence,” the convention is currently underway at the JN Garba Hall, Postgraduate School, Old NDA, Kaduna, and is scheduled to run from 3 - 7 May 2026. In his opening remarks, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu (NAM), described RSMs as the "backbone of discipline" and the vital link between the officer corps and the rank-and-file. Represented by Major General Dangana Allu, Commandant of the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Centre, the COAS emphasized that the influence of an RSM extends far beyond barracks administration. “In operational theatres, your leadership inspires troops to remain mission-oriented and disciplined under extreme pressure,” the COAS stated. He further noted that the convention aims to reposition RSMs through capacity building and a reinforcement of the Army’s core traditions and ethical values—elements essential to modern operational effectiveness. Echoing these sentiments, the Chief of Administration (Army), Major General Isa Abdullahi, highlighted the convention as a strategic leap in improving the Army’s administrative framework. He noted that because RSMs occupy a unique position between command leadership and soldiers, their professional development is integral to overall force development. Host of the event, Major General Abubakar Sadique Muhammad Wase General Officer Commanding 1 Division and Commander Sector 1 Operation FANSAN YAMMA welcomed participants by describing the convention as a "deliberate platform for the cross-fertilization of ideas." He stressed that an empowered RSM acts as a force multiplier, directly enhancing the Army’s excellence in the field. The five-day event features a robust schedule of expert lectures, interactive sessions, and professional networking opportunities. These activities are designed to deepen knowledge-sharing and strengthen the esprit de corps among the Army's most senior non-commissioned leaders. This maiden convention underscores the Nigerian Army’s unwavering commitment to building a motivated, disciplined, and combat-ready force capable of tackling contemporary security challenges while maintaining the highest standards of global professionalism. 🇳🇬 NIGERIA 🇺🇸 USA. It was a very constructive engagement with U.S.A Charge d’Affaires, David Heffern and our discussions centered on matters of security and defence, border and migration challenges, counter-terrorism initiatives, intelligence sharing, visa issues and various other matters of mutual interest between our countries. We also discussed about our collaborations within the Joint Working Group, measures to promote stability within the region as well as Nigeria's CPC ( Country of Particular Concern) designation by the United States. We will continue to engage on the necessary measures and collaborations needed to reverse this designation, and work towards deepening the longstanding bilateral relations that exist between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the United States of America.

Please fact-check me: The Blue Whale is the largest animal ever to have existed on Earth. But to grow so big, the Blue Whale eats one of the smallest creatures in existence, Krill. Learn from that. Do not despise little things. There is nothing like small money. Value every opportunity to make wealth. It is the ₦225 packet of Dangote spaghetti that you buy, which has contributed to making him the richest man in Africa. Appreciate small money. Gather it. Multiply it. And you can become as big as the Blue Whale. #RenosNuggets

I was at an event last weekend and a lady that I met pointed out that my usual statement that“I am Ezemmuo. I know things” is quite a confident, even somewhat arrogant, statement. I said “Yeah!” She asked me “What are some of the things you don’t know?” I said “Women.” 😂

The Vice President, Senator @KashimSM, has restated the firm resolve of the administration of President @officialABAT to address humanitarian situations across Nigeria. This, according to him, entails that the administration will continue to engage more with critical stakeholders, including development partners, in tackling grey areas in humanitarian responses across the country. Senator @KashimSM stated this on Tuesday when he received, on a courtesy visit, a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Nigeria (@ICRC_Nigeria) led by Ms @DDoueihyICRC at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The Vice President said Nigeria, under the leadership of President @officialABAT, will continue to nurture existing relationships with key stakeholders like the ICRC, noting that “it is only when we continue engaging with organisations like the Red Cross that we can address some of the grey areas in our humanitarian responses across the country.”
