I've been teaching my kids how to play competitive pokemon, starting with the type chart. I was quizzing my daughter on what was super effective against flying and she incorrectly said fire. She proceeds to tell me "technically birds are weak to fire so fire should be super effective against flying"

The issue here is the generalization. There are, in fact, a lot of women who find gaming unattractive (albeit probably less today than in times past). Before meeting my wife, it was part of my dating strategy to not really bring up my gaming hobby when first dating someone. However, to paint with such a broad brush, especially nowadays when gaming is so much more mainstream is just silly. The issue that men have to understand is balance. Be well rounded. Love video games but love other things too. Be able to have conversations that extend past just what you enjoy. Almost every girl I dated was cool with me loving games, but I'm sure if I were obsessive about them, it would of been a different story. And if a woman is gonna snuff you purely from finding out you like to game, then she's not worth your time. Keep on gaming, kings 😎👍 (obligitory game room pics below)

I know this is unpopular, but it will always be unattractive for a grown man to play video games. Some women might be understanding or pretend like they don’t care that you spend hours playing, but they do. It is extremely unattractive to women and will never not be. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Looks like this topic is coming up again so I’m going to try to add some nuance to it… Because, personally, I think Lizzie is correct. There are still a lot of women who find video gaming men unattractive. It can signal irresponsibility or unreliability. Because there ARE men, who play video games all day & do nothing else. Now, with that being said… For women, I think it’s a stereotype they should consider getting over. You should find VG *obsessed* men as red flags, but as a part time hobby? Like goodness the number of hobbies women have that men don’t understand is not a small number. So to dismiss a man who finds video games as a fun hobby is like a man who mocks women for liking “poorly” written romance novels or books… or true crime. But for men, if you’re single, have other interests other than video games. If all you can talk about is gaming, then don’t be surprised if no one wants to date you. And if you’re married, and this is something I FREQUENTLY teach my son, understand video games don’t supersede people. If it’s time for dinner, or if she needs help with something, or if the house is devolving into chaos, the video game gets paused, turned off, or quickly wrapped up. And then you help out. Also, more & more women are also getting into video games. My wife likes them. Not as much as I do, but she still plays. I know a lot of other women do too. That’s my opinion. I know trying to find a middle ground these days is lame & gay, but I think my points are reasonable.

@PrinciplesBP This hard trick room team got me there. However, I'm trying to find ways to add more offense and may make it a soft TR team, especially since I'm seeing a lot more imprison in Master Ball.

@DevilAspiring Although some scientist's theorize that TRex had feather's due to other closely related theropods having them, there's no actual fossil evidence that shows this to be the case.

@shadydoorags For everyone who voted blue for the children, please donate one hour's worth of wages or your time to an organization that helps foster children. Treehouse, the YMCA, or any others local to your area. If 1/10 of the blue voters moved beyond hypotheticals, that would be amazing

This whole topic is actually extremely fascinating and I empathize with the perspective of both sides. On the one hand, each of us has a responsibility over his or her own life and by pressing blue, you're choosing to put yourself at risk which is no one's fault but your own. On the other hand, it's obvious that unless people can communicate with each other beforehand, not everyone is going to pick red (especially children), which means that you picking red is increasing the odds of those people being condemned. The question is, are you willing to risk your life for those who chose to put theirs in danger? Ultimately, I think I have to side with blue, or more accurately, I should say that I hope I'd have the courage to pick blue. It means choosing to risk your life for others and I find that a noble quality. Normally I tend to side with personal responsibility in conversations, however, I am not against choosing to be responsible for others as long as your own ducks are in a row first. If I was, it would feel kinda hollow being a fanatic of superheroes like I am when their whole shtick is choosing to be responsible for others at great risks to themselves, which btw is supposed to be representative of the best of what humanity has to offer. Don't get me wrong, there ARE situations where people could put themselves in danger that I would not feel obligated to help with specifically because they knew the risks, but this situation has enough nuance that I place it as a separate scenario. However, the bigger deal for me is that Blue specifically says "everyone survives", and that's the ideal option despite it not being guaranteed. Even if I look at this from a purely selfish pov, I have friends and family on this planet whom I would have a hard time knowing I could've helped prevent their deaths, but didn't. "Everyone survives" means them too. I constantly think about that guy who jumped off a cruise ship to save his little girl from drowning with little to no regard of his own safety and hope I have in me what he had in him. The outcome of "everyone survives" is just too tempting, at least on paper.
MrBeast@MrBeast

Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.

As much as I would want to be there for them, if they chose red and I blue, then I'm glad they're reasonable enough to understand the logic and they'll do well. I die, but I'd die happy knowing they lived. If I chose red, and one or more of them chose blue, there's no way I could live with myself. That outcome has a higher than 0 percent chance, so I'm always going with it.

@JayMac_Slacking @TheEbonyMaw This has been my argument for the past week and it’s been frustrating to have to fight against the straw men from team red. Even so red might be the RIGHT choice. What if your family picks red? In a post-blue world you want to be there for them. That’s why it’s a good dilemma.

It’s been fun seeing red/blue button discourse. I can see why it’s so popular. I’ve seen opinions on both options that vary from very reasonable to bombastic to oversimplified.
