Shavuot reminds us that learning comes with responsibility: to pursue justice, protect the vulnerable, and help repair what is broken in the world. Especially right now, gathering to learn, reflect, and build community feels more important than ever. Chag Sameach. — Jay #Shavuot #ChagSameach #Justice #Community #Leadership

One of the things I’ve come to believe most deeply is that meaningful change starts with conversation and connection. During Mental Health Awareness Month, I’m compelled to share this thoughtful discussion with Kalina Silverman on All About Change about what it really means to make people feel seen and heard. Too many people are struggling quietly. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is slow down, listen closely, and remind each other that we’re not alone. 📚 The Find Your Fight Little Library journey continues...and this week, it reaches 📍Tel Aviv, Israel! What started as a small community initiative is becoming something much bigger: a reminder that books, ideas, and conversations can connect people across neighborhoods, cities, and even countries. I wrote Find Your Fight because I believe change begins when ordinary people decide to stop sitting on the sidelines. Now, copies are finding their way into Little Libraries across the world — from North Carolina to Massachusetts to Israel — opening doors to conversations about leadership, activism, coalition-building, and courage. If you come across a copy, I hope you’ll take it, read it, reflect on it, and pass it forward. Because the most meaningful movements often begin quietly: one person, one idea, one community at a time. #FindYourFight #LittleLibrary #TelAviv #Leadership #Community #Books #SocialImpact

Abe was a true inspiration to everyone in the Jewish community and beyond. I feel honored to have spent time with him and learned from his profound leadership and prominent voice fighting against antisemitism. His legacy lives on through his longtime work with the ADL and with all who he touched in his lifetime. May his memory forever be a blessing. What would you do if you discovered the person sitting next to you at work was being paid more than you for doing the same job? 🤔 Instead of staying silent, Meggie left journalism and founded PepTalkHer — a company helping women negotiate salaries, build confidence, and advocate for greater workplace equity. Sometimes, the fight that changes your life starts with one uncomfortable realization. 🎧 Listen now: allaboutchangepodcast.com/podcast-episod… #MeggiePalmer #EqualPay #Leadership #GenderEquity #Activism

On May 3, 1980, Candace Lightner’s life changed forever when her 13-year-old daughter, Cari, was killed by a drunk driver. Just months later, she founded #MADD, helping spark a national movement that reshaped laws, accountability, and public awareness around drunk driving in America. Her story is featured in #FindYourFight, and shows how personal tragedy can lead to meaningful action. 📘 Find Your Fight is available at jayruderman.com/book #Activism #SocialImpact #Advocacy #Leadership #ChangeMakers

Stories have the power to change how we see the world...and what we choose to fight for. I’m excited to share the new Boston Rose Films page on my website, featuring films and series I’ve helped produce that are rooted in dignity, justice, belonging, and humanity. 🌹 Because storytelling isn’t just entertainment. It’s one of the most powerful tools we have to build empathy and inspire change. 👉 Explore Boston Rose Films: jayruderman.com/films #BostonRoseFilms #Storytelling #SocialImpact #Film #Leadership

After years of conversations with activists, leaders, and changemakers, #AllAboutChange is taking a pause. Before we do, I wanted to share one more important conversation for Mental Health Awareness Month — my episode with Sophie Grégoire Trudeau on vulnerability, trauma, healing, and the inner work behind real leadership. Today, we lost an extraordinary voice and an extraordinary man. Abe Foxman was a Holocaust survivor who dedicated his life to fighting antisemitism, hatred, and bigotry in all forms. He had the respect of presidents and world leaders. But what I’ll remember most is that he was also a deeply caring friend who loved the Jewish people, his family, and his community with all his heart. Abe understood that hatred doesn’t begin with violence. It begins with words, silence, and indifference. He spent his life refusing to stay silent. His legacy of moral courage and advocacy will continue to inspire generations to come. May his memory be a blessing. jpost.com/diaspora/artic… — Jay

To the women who shape our world: thank you. Thank you for the strength, compassion, resilience, and love you bring into the lives of the people around you every day. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by strong women throughout my life...especially my wife, Shira, whose empathy and leadership shape our family in countless ways. So much of what we teach about inclusion, kindness, and standing up for others begins at home. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, and role models helping shape the next generation. — Jay #MothersDay #Family #Leadership #Community

There’s a time to challenge...and a time to build. Real progress happens when we shift from criticism to collaboration. When we recognize progress. When we give people credit for doing the right thing. When we invite them into something bigger. #FindYourFight

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and it’s a reminder that the work we do to change the world has to include taking care of ourselves. In my past conversation with @chelseapmiller on All About Change, she said something that really stayed with me: “You can’t pour from an empty cup.” 🫗 How do you take care of yourself while staying engaged in the world around you?

Another copy of Find Your Fight has made its way to a local Little Library! 📍This week, we dropped off a copy in Winthrop, MA. Will you find it? It’s a small act...but that’s how real change often begins. With one person. One idea. One moment of reflection. 👇 Is there a Little Library where you'd like to see Find Your Fight? Let us know! — Jay #FindYourFight #LittleLibrary #Community #Leadership
