Easy way to improve your arm care program is to dial in your push-up technique. No low back sagging, chest hits before nose and get the scaps moving around the rib cage. Variations are endless once that is established. How you do the exercise determines the benefits!
All starts with the set-up! Slow it down and get in a good position to start. When guys are real “squatty” we have had success giving them a counterbalance to lower into the starting position. From there get tension and go! *Pre-COVID video*
Tension tip... When young guys struggle learning to keep the bar close to the body during a hinge, try throwing some shoes under their arms and tell them not to let them fall. Bar goes forward, shoes drop!
