Last weekend, I had the opportunity to do a community clean up behind City Hall this weekend with surrounding neighbors. My office is working to address the significant litter and obstructions of sidewalk/roadways caused by street feeding incidents downtown. 1/2

Two years ago we started work to keep our downtown streets safe and clear of obstructions by tents. While we have made significant progress, there is still more work to be done.

This week, we celebrated the announcement of the Dallas Police Downtown Command Center, the first dedicated physical presence for the Downtown Patrol Division here in D2. This DPD storefront reinforces the City's commitment to securing Downtown for all in the City's core.

I enjoyed meeting with the Dallas Water Utilities team and our contractors last week who are working on the Mill Creek Tunnel Project. As we watch the rainy weather, it reminds me of the importance of alleviating water drainage concerns, which this project will do.

By conveying 9 million gallons of water during severe storm events, we will protect lives, properties, and businesses from water disasters and regular flooding caused by poor drainage. #D2 #Dallas

I was honored to help secure funding for a new Polaris vehicle in Deep Ellum for Dallas PD. This asset will help improve response times to high priority calls, while providing higher visibility of law enforcement in the district. Thanks to the Deep Ellum dedicated unit! #D2
