Sunday Wisdom #99 I was known as the poker champion, the founder, the chess champ… but none of those titles could tell me who I really was. Then cancer hit. It stripped the achievements away fast. No more wins to hide behind. I was left asking the scary question nobody wants to face: “If all of this disappeared… who am I?” On the outside I still looked successful. Inside? Empty. Directionless. Worthless without the next title. Then Jesus showed me the truth I’d been missing my whole life. My identity was never in what I built or won. It was in being a beloved son - fully known, fully accepted, no performance required. Not by works, so no one can boast. Just grace. Pure, undeserved grace. If you’re tying your worth to your follower count, your net worth, your next win, or your job title… I’ve been there. Those things will never be enough But Jesus already says you are. John 1:12: But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (ESV). Focusing on learning how to play @AnichessGame so I start by watching people play before I go through the tutorials. I was able to follow up with the little knowledge I have about playing chess but this feels so different and fun. I’d be dedicating few hours of my day into practicing starting tomorrow.
