Today, I received Dr. Princess Aderemi Adebowale, the National Programme Manager for the Renewed Hope National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme, at Lagos House, Ikeja. We spoke about our shared commitment to child welfare and nutrition. Ensuring our students are well-fed and healthy remains a top priority for Lagos State and aligning with national initiatives helps us strengthen that foundation for our children’s future.

I congratulate our leader and President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his emergence as the presidential candidate of the APC for the 2027 election. This victory reflects the confidence and trust that party members across the country continue to place in his leadership and his commitment to building a better Nigeria. The adoption of direct primaries also demonstrates our party’s commitment to strengthening internal democracy by giving members a stronger voice in the selection process. Over the last few years, President Tinubu has taken important decisions aimed at stabilising the economy and laying the foundation for long-term growth. At critical moments, leadership requires courage and the willingness to take decisions that will move the country forward. I am confident that Nigerians will continue to support a vision built on courage and sustainable progress. The journey continues, and together, we will keep working towards a nation that gives every citizen a fair opportunity to succeed.

Today, I joined His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his ward in Ikoyi where he exercised his franchise in the APC presidential primary election. I also joined party faithful to cast my vote at my Ward E3, Eiyekole, Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island. President Tinubu has continued to demonstrate bold leadership through necessary reforms aimed at strengthening our electoral system, stabilising the polity and ultimately strengthening the economy. His vision for a more stable, secure and prosperous nation remains clear, and I am confident that better days are ahead for our country.

Congratulations to my brother and Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, @drobafemihamzat on emerging as the APC Lagos Governorship candidate for the 2027 elections. We have worked side by side for years and I know firsthand his deep love for Lagosians, his brilliance, and his unwavering dedication to progress. The work ahead is massive, but with Femi, I am absolutely confident that our state will reach even greater heights. Let us stay united and keep moving Lagos forward.

I received the National Leadership of the Civil Society Organizations on Community Advancement and Humanitarian Empowerment Initiative (CSCHEI) at Lagos House, Ikeja, on a courtesy visit. True progress happens when government and civil society work together. We discussed ways to strengthen our collaboration to better support local communities and expand grassroots humanitarian efforts. Our administration remains committed to partnering with organizations that share our vision for sustainable community development. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of Lagosians.

I was pleased to receive the Commonwealth Nurses Conference Team at Lagos House, Ikeja, where they presented me with the Nurse Friendly Governor Award. I appreciate this recognition and remain committed to supporting our nurses and strengthening healthcare delivery across Lagos State.

Today, I received the Management Team of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) on a courtesy visit at Lagos House, Ikeja. We had a good conversation on strengthening fiscal cooperation and supporting sustainable development across our state and Nigeria.

Earlier today, my wife, Joke, and I joined fellow party members at Ward E3, Eiyekole, St Stephen School, Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island, to cast our votes for @drobafemihamzat in the APC governorship primary election. It was inspiring to see the strong turnout from everyone who came out peacefully to exercise their democratic rights with unity and commitment.

Today, I received the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs of Poland, Mr. Krzysztof Gawkowski, at Lagos House, Marina. We had a discussion about the future of the digital economy and the opportunities that exist through collaboration and partnership. Lagos State remains the commercial and digital hub of Nigeria, driven by a young and innovative population. We are focused on building the right infrastructure to support investment and sustainable growth. We are open and ready to work with partners who share our vision for the future.

Today, I was at the commissioning of the Kasi Cloud Hyperscale Data Center Campus in Lekki, Lagos. Over the past decade, Lagos has grown into the centre of Africa’s digital economy because our people have continued to build, innovate, and push through challenges. Resilience is important but it cannot stand alone. We must keep investing in the infrastructure that supports innovation, enterprise and growth. Lagos is open for infrastructure investment and we will continue to honour the commitments we make. If you are building cloud or AI infrastructure, we are ready to work with you because enabling infrastructure is a smart economic strategy for our future. Through reforms like the Lagos State Electricity Law, investments in fibre connectivity, digital skills, and stronger public-private collaboration, we are creating an environment where technology and innovation can thrive. This is how we build a true 21st-century economy for Lagos and, ultimately, for Nigeria.

Dear Aspirants, Stakeholders, Delegates, and Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, As we commence our party primaries tomorrow, I sincerely appreciate every member for your unwavering loyalty and steadfast commitment to the ideals and continued progress of our great party. The APC remains a strong symbol of democratic values, unity, and national development. I therefore urge all aspirants across Lagos State to approach the primaries with maturity, discipline, and utmost respect for the party’s constitution and electoral guidelines. The primary election is a democratic process established to select credible candidates who will proudly fly the flag of our party in the forthcoming general elections. We must avoid actions, utterances, or conduct capable of creating division, and instead conduct ourselves peacefully, respectfully, and with a spirit of solidarity. I call on all aspirants and their supporters to embrace peace, fairness, and sportsmanship before, during, and after the primaries. The victory of one aspirant should be seen as the collective victory of the APC family in Lagos State. Let us remain focused on our shared vision of strengthening our party and delivering effective leadership and good governance to the people. Together, united in purpose and commitment, we shall continue to move our great party forward and secure success in the elections ahead.

Today, I was at the Eko Africa Legacy Summit held to mark the 50th anniversary of Eko Hotels and Suites at the Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island. In Lagos, we remain focused on the future of culture in African hospitality and travel and on the important role these sectors continue to play in positioning our state as a leading destination on the continent.

Today, I received Mr. Tarek Mosaad, President of Hyundai Motors Middle East and Africa, on a courtesy visit at Lagos House, Marina. We had a discussion around collaboration, investment opportunities, strategic partnerships, and the vision behind Invest Lagos 3.0 as we continue to position Lagos as a leading destination for business and innovation in Africa.

Today, I inaugurated the Lagos State Physical Planning and Building Control Appeals Committee at Lagos House, Marina. This committee will play an important role in ensuring fairness, accountability, and due process in matters relating to physical planning and building control across our state.

Today, I received the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2 Command covering Lagos and Ogun State, AIG Olohundare Jimoh Moshood, on a courtesy visit at Lagos House, Ikeja. We had a good discussion on strengthening security collaboration and sustaining peace and safety across our state.

Last night, I was at the 2026 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island. The AMVCA continues to show the strength of African storytelling and the incredible talent across our film and entertainment industry. It was a pleasure to join creatives, industry leaders and guests from across the continent for an evening that celebrated hard work, creativity and culture. Lagos remains proud to support the arts and provide a home for platforms that showcase African excellence to the world.

Today at Lagos House, Marina, I received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria, His Excellency Mr. Youssef Mohammed Al-Balawi, on a courtesy visit. Lagos remains open to partnerships with those who recognise the opportunities within our state, we had a good discussion on strengthening cooperation in areas that are mutually beneficial.

Today at Lagos House, Marina, I received the Chief Executive Officer of Multichoice Nigeria, Kemi Omotosho, and the Chief Executive Officer of Canal+ Africa PayTV, David Mignot, on a courtesy visit.

Today, I met with the co-chairmen and members of the Local Organising Committee for the 2026 Invest in Lagos Summit 3.0. We spoke about the next phase of growing Lagos as a place where businesses can thrive, investments can grow, and real opportunities can reach more people. The last two editions of Invest in Lagos opened important conversations with investors and partners around the world. They also showed that Lagos continues to stand out as a serious destination for business, innovation, and infrastructure development. This year, with the support of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), we are building on that progress and expanding the platform even further. Lagos is ready to welcome the world again from June 8 to 9, and I am confident the conversations and partnerships from this summit will create lasting value for our people.

Today at Lagos House, Marina, I received Harry Boyd-Carpenter, Managing Director, Sustainable Infrastructure Group at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), alongside Hamza Al-Assad, Director and Head of Nigeria at the EBRD, and their team on a courtesy visit. We had a good discussion about sustainable development and opportunities for stronger collaboration that will support Lagos’ continued growth and improve the quality of life for our people. To bridge the gap between our current reality and our immense potential, we need partnerships that will help us build a more resilient and forward-looking Lagos.
