JUST IN: The Federal Reserve didn’t change interest rates. The target range is still 3.5 to 3.75%, where it’s been since December. But big news: The decision was 8 to 4. We haven't seen that much dissent since 1992 Yes, 11 of the 12 supported leaving rates unchanged, but Beth Hammack, Neel Kashkari, and Lorie Logan “did not support inclusion of an easing bias in the statement at this time.” [In other words, they think the Fed's next move might be a rate HIKE] Fed/Trump official Stephen Miran dissented again (he wanted a ¼ cut) **This is likely Jerome Powell’s final meeting/press conference as chair**
