I really want to talk about this blue tick thing because a lot of you are pretending not to see what’s going on. Let’s be honest this evening. The moment you don’t have a blue tick, people start acting like you don’t exist. Your posts don’t get engagement, your opinions don’t matter, and suddenly you’re not worth replying. But let’s drop emotions for a second. X didn’t design that system by accident. They made it clear if you want visibility, you have to pay for it. People who bought the blue tick didn’t do it for vibes. They did it to grow their accounts, push their content, and in some cases, make money from it. People are not ignoring you because they hate you. They’re ignoring you because the system is not showing you, and even when it does, they’ve been conditioned to prioritize accounts with blue ticks because those are the ones constantly in their face. That’s the uncomfortable truth. But here’s where I’ll be controversial, some of you are using no blue tick as an excuse. There are still people without verification pulling numbers, building communities, and going viral, because their content forces attention. Not average takes, not recycled tweets. Real, bold, uncomfortable opinions. If your post can be ignored, it will be ignored with blue tick or not, the system is biased, but it’s not completely closed. You either play the game and pay, or you become so good they can’t overlook you. There’s really no middle ground anymore.
