Rent is not supposed to be 30% of your income.
30% was the cut-off used to determine if someone was low-income/living in poverty; we weren't supposed to surpass it.
Today they've normalized everyone living in extreme poverty.

Yes. We also had more community then where your neighbors spoke with each other. Parents had each others contacts. You knew who was working at the rec center. People knew the local cops in the neighborhood. Business owners knew the local kids.

Surprise surprise, a white woman helping to push the strong independent Black woman that don’t need no man or is too good for a man trope.
If it’s one thing these women do is constantly try to sabotage and manipulate Black women to the detriment of the Black family.
