Today, I officially took the oath of office as the Member of Parliament for Sheema Municipality in the 12th Ugandan parliament @Parliament_Ug , a moment that marks both a great honour and a profound responsibility. I am deeply grateful to the people of Sheema Municipality for the trust, confidence, and unwavering support you have placed in me. Your belief in my leadership is a commitment I do not take lightly. As I begin this next journey in Parliament, I pledge to serve with integrity, dedication, and a clear focus on advancing the interests of our people. Together, we shall continue to champion development, empower our youth and women, improve service delivery, and ensure that the voice of Sheema Municipality is strongly and effectively represented. This swearing-in is not the end of a campaign, but the beginning of greater work, sacrifice, and service to our community and nation. I welcomed H.E. Luosang Jiangcun, Special Presidential Envoy and Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China, and his delegation to @Parliament_Ug today afternoon. H.E. Luosang represented H.E Xi Jinping at yesterday’s inauguration of H.E. @KagutaMuseveni. Uganda and China continue to enjoy strong and historic bilateral relations built on mutual respect, political trust, economic cooperation and shared development goals. I informed the delegation that we appreciate the decades-long support of the Government of China towards Uganda’s infrastructure development, industrialisation, healthcare, education, humanitarian response and human resource development. I also informed them that we are grateful to China for granting duty-free and quota-free market access to 98 tariff lines for Ugandan products. The biggest challenge we face is meeting the required quality standards, which we are actively working on. We discussed the importance of strengthening parliamentary diplomacy and expanding cooperation in trade, manufacturing, value addition, technology transfer, and investment. Uganda is committed to deepening this partnership for the benefit of our people and future generations. We look forward to continued collaboration between our two countries and legislatures.

Joined honorable @kateshd as he handed over 5 millions UGX to each of the families that lost their relatives in a crash that happened in Kabwohe, and 1m to those hospitalized. The money was from President @KagutaMuseveni

This morning I delivered condolence messages and financial support of Shs. 5m from HE President @KagutaMuseveni to each of the families whose loved ones perished last Saturday when a vehicle rammed into worshippers returning from prayers at Kabwohe Town, Sheema Municipality. HE also contributed Shs. 1m to the two survivors (all young children) who are undergoing treatment. I thank HE the President for the compassion and support and also thank my friend and sister Hon. @LillianAber Minister of State Disaster Preparedness and Refugees for delivering my report to HE and coordinating the response.@StateHouseUg @OPMUganda

Today in Rushozi Ward, together with the State House Poverty Alleviation Department, we delivered two tonnes of coffee fertilizers to support our hardworking farmers and strengthen household incomes. Coffee remains Sheema’s green gold, and by investing in our farmers with practical support like this, we are empowering communities to fight poverty sustainably. I thank H.E. President Yoweri Museveni and the State House team for prioritizing Rushozi as a model village and bringing services closer to the people. I urge all beneficiaries to use these inputs effectively, work closely with extension workers, and maximize this opportunity to improve yields and livelihoods.
