We have a whole gun store packed full of guns. No clue why @TheRascallion can't just scurry to the back and pick something out, oh no, Rascal has to traverse time and dimensions and risk tail and hide for the guns he brings you good folk. Yall this is gonna be legit!!

I have spent a lot of time reworking 3D printed grips for the Ruger Wrangler .22lr revolver from the ground up to give them a huge upgrade. Now the proprietary shaped nut that comes with the factory grips fits easily into the 3D printed ones! It makes the install much cleaner and sturdier. On the original model the mounting screw just gripped into the plastic directly. The grips looked cool but didn't survive recoil well, even on a .22 pistol. Trying to put a hole for the nut (giggles) in them kept causing dumb problems I still don't understand. It was causing the slicer to not put infil near that area no matter what I did. And that made it unusably weak. I also tried drilling it out after printing to fit the nut but it was clunky and also weakened the area significantly. Overtightening it slightly would rip the nut out of the back of the left panel. Finally with the help of my neighbor's kid who is a CAD wizard (and a hell of a lot better than I am at 3D modeling... he also helped me make the 1911 grips I use as a base for everything) we redid the entire design from scratch and on the new model I was able to add the hole that perfectly fits the oddly shaped nut from the factory grips so you have a nice sturdy install that isn't going to strip the threads of the plastic out as it rattles.
