Happy Mother’s Day! Today, I’m grateful for the incredible women who shape our families and communities, especially my mom, who taught me the value of hard work, faith, and service, and my wife Katrina, whose love and dedication make our family stronger every day. Watching my daughters continue to grow into strong women and wonderful mothers reminds me how powerful a mother’s influence truly is. To all the mothers across Utah and America, thank you for your sacrifices, your strength, and your love. God bless you today and always.

Thank you, delegates. I am humbled and honored by your overwhelming support. This is an important step, but there’s more work ahead. I’ll keep fighting every day to make Washington smaller and Utah stronger.

Great to be with delegates this past Saturday at the Utah County and Salt Lake County conventions. I appreciated the chance to speak and hear directly from so many of you about the issues that matter most. I’ll keep doing the work to rein in the federal government, provide relief for families, protect your freedoms, and deliver results that make Washington smaller and Utah stronger.

On Monday, I met with the Sevier County Commission and spent time with delegates afterward. I also met with delegates in Millard County and ended the night in Eagle Mountain, continuing those conversations across the district. We talked about the real challenges communities are dealing with, wildfire mitigation, water, growth, and protecting the future of the places we call home. Delivering results without excuses, providing tax relief for families, securing the border, and protecting your freedoms. That’s my focus in Washington, and I won’t back down when it comes to fighting for you and your family.

Last Saturday, we had a great delegate breakfast in Sandy joined by more than 50 delegates. Later that day, I was in Erda for a meet the candidates event, continuing those conversations and hearing directly from people about what matters most in their communities. My focus remains on delivering results that lower costs for families, provide tax relief, secure our border, protect your freedoms, and make Washington smaller and Utah stronger.

UVU made a tone deaf decision with its choice of commencement speaker. The students who witnessed the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk on their campus deserve better. Inviting a commencement speaker who publicly dismissed Charlie Kirk after the tragic events on campus is a slap in the face to students, families, and others still dealing with the traumatic aftermath. This isn’t some abstract issue to debate online; it’s real for the students here. It shows a lack of judgment in its timing and a callous disregard for what this community has gone through. Commencement should bring people together. This decision leans into divisiveness and elevates someone who chose to double down on that division. That’s not thoughtful and it’s not appropriate for an event marking a happy, major milestone in these students’ lives. UVU still has a chance to make this right for the students and families who deserve it and I hope they do.

Had another great night on the campaign trail Wednesday in Salt Lake County at Wheeler Historic Farm in Murray. It was great to visit with delegates and hear directly from them about the concerns they’re seeing and how I can better serve in Washington. My focus remains on making Washington smaller and Utah stronger, delivering relief for families, securing our border, and defending your freedoms.

U.S. forces have rescued the second crew member from a downed F-15 fighter jet in Iran. Katrina and I are grateful for those who carried out this successful mission. We continue to pray for those who serve our nation. May God bless you and keep you safe.

Great night in Lehi. Delegates came from across the district to spend their Friday night with us, and I’m grateful they did. I’ll always take the time to listen and have thoughtful conversations about the challenges we face. As a doctor, I’ve learned how crucial it is to take time to understand a problem, tell the truth about what you’re seeing, and work toward results one step at a time. Great to be in Juab and Sanpete Counties the last two nights. Spent time with delegates, had a lot of good conversations, and have been calling hundreds more across the district. Grateful for the support and working to earn every vote.

It was an honor to speak at and help sponsor the @SLCountyGOP Lincoln Day Dinner this past weekend. It was great to connect with Utahns throughout the night and to hear about the work Nick Shirley is doing to uncover fraud. These events matter. The time spent connecting with the people I serve only deepens my resolve to help our state and nation keep moving forward. I’m truly grateful for the meaningful conversations had throughout the night.

Today I officially filed for re-election to continue serving in the United States House of Representatives. Katrina and a few of our grandkids came with me when I went in to file, and we were grateful to have the support of our kids as well. Seeing my family behind me is a reminder of exactly why this fight matters. The future we leave to our kids and grandkids is on the line, and it’s worth standing up and sacrificing to protect. From the beginning, my goal has been simple: make Washington smaller and Utah stronger. Cut back the nonsense, deliver tax relief for families, make life more affordable, continue securing our border, strengthen American energy, and defend the freedoms and values that make our country the greatest nation on earth.
