A PatentGPT update! It’s a big one. I have been working with a high profile patent expert law firm to vet the outputs from my garage lab LLM mess and to see if the outputs would form a genuine patent. Welp today I got word that one of the 3 the firm reviewed is ready to test!

Yes, Grok’s performance is lagging other frontier LLM’s, but it could be well positioned as a profitable consumer LLM (and maybe help us better understand our universe) - Grok is likely trained on X’s own platform data (hedge against legal fallout from data scraping) - Grok has access to a larger stream of information than broadcast news (other LLM / MoE will be restricted to non-X search results) - X is openly pursuing a payment platform and micro payments can enable pay-per use AI APIs (Subscription models don’t seem to scale here as user activity increases - see Microsoft’s Co-Pilot) #AI #GenAI @xai #Grok @OpenAI #ChatGPT

Today, I'm announcing Alexandria, an open-source initiative to embed the internet. To start, we're releasing the embeddings for every research paper on the Arxiv. That's over 4m items, 600m tokens, and 3.07 billion vector dimensions. We're not stopping here.
