@worstall It would seem that there is a precedent for leading the way. For instance wages fell after Ronald Reagan broke up the air traffic controllers union. If Boeing were to lead the way in that sense, and others followed, wages would increase and more people could buy airline tickets.

@kevin_ketchum Sure, didn't say that wasn't true. Only, Boeing won't increase it's profits that way. If everyone else pays their workers more, Boeing makes higher profits, but not if Boeing alone does.

@worstall I'm new to twitter but I just want to reach out to you about your article on Henry Ford's 5$ issue. If Boeing pays its employees higher wages, then they can afford to buy more tickets on airlines, thereby increasing the demand for Boeing airliners.
