Some people collect stamps; I collect @khyru 's Butterfingers books — but with a much greater purpose: launching them into the world. Yesterday I launched the ninth in the series, this one in comic book format, alongside the gifted illustrator @abhikini. Khyru is a gifted storyteller and a master plotter; she’s India’s answer to Enid Blyton, and in the clumsy but ultimately triumphant Butterfingers, she has created a child hero to equal Billy Bunter. Great fun! Presented the first copy of the new one to Minna, whom I first “met” when she was inside her mother, and whom I had initiated into the world of letters at a Vidyarambham years ago!
