@bwmoles I’m so glad! Yes, there’s definitely a distinctive smell of the mud in the quay, the salt marsh with the sea lavender in bloom, the air still cool from the night but starting to warm up now. How funny to think of someone in Cambodia recalling all this — rather wonderful really!
