DOUBLE POINTS Sitting fifth in the Constructors' Championship, VCARB enjoyed another strong weekend with both drivers finishing in the points. For Arvid Lindblad, it was a sixth consecutive points finish, although he told the media afterwards that he'll use the summer break to work on his opening laps and find a way to move further up the order. His teammate Liam Lawson is a good example of the improvement Arvid is looking for, and the pair once again enjoyed a battle between themselves on track. #f1news #f1content #hungariangp

ON THE PODIUM Max Verstappen claimed second place today, despite continuing to voice his frustrations with the Red Bull car under the latest regulations. He went wheel-to-wheel with familiar foe Lewis Hamilton in the early stages, making a clean dive down the inside to take the position from the Ferrari driver. From there, Max never looked back. With the summer break now upon us, we'll have to wait until the second half of the season to see whether Red Bull can finally claim their first win of 2026. #f1news #f1content #hungariangp

FIRST POINTS OF 2026 It was another points finish for Audi today, but this time it was Nico Hulkenberg who brought home the haul for the team. It marks his first points finish of 2026, and he kept the pace up in the paddock after the race, moving quickly, this time on the two wheels of a scooter. #f1news #f1content #hungariangp

A PODIUM RECOVERY With a P7 start, victory always looked like a tall order for Kimi Antonelli. However, the championship leader showed exactly why he's won so many races this season, fighting his way through the field to bring his Mercedes home in P3. #f1news #f1content #hungariangp

FAMILIAR SIGHT Lando Norris stood on the top step of the podium here last year, and he did it again today. McLaren are the most successful team on the grid at the Hungaroring, and they've extended that record with another victory. Nobody was more pleased than Lando, whose trademark grin was on full display throughout the podium celebrations. #f1news #f1content #hungariangp

BEAUTIFUL TO DRIVE That's how Lando Norris described his McLaren after claiming his first Grand Prix victory as World Champion. He lost the lead to teammate Oscar Piastri early on, but regained it during the second round of pit stops and then had plenty of pace to pull away from the rest of the field. With McLaren's upgrades delivering such strong performance, could the team be back to fighting at the front? We'll have to wait a little while to find out. #f1news #f1content #bahraingp

HEARTBREAK FOR OSCAR Oscar Piastri took the lead from teammate Lando Norris on the opening lap and went on to lead for long periods of today's race. However, contact allowed Lando to get ahead of him during his second pit stop. A podium finish still looked certain for Oscar, but a gearbox failure ultimately brought an end to his hard work. He's back in the paddock, and the disappointment was visible as he headed off to complete his media duties. #f1news #f1content #hungariangp

EXCITING OPENER Lando Norris held the lead through the initial pressure, but a run wide at Turn 2 allowed teammate Oscar Piastri to capitalise and take control of the race. Max Verstappen sits behind the McLarens, while both Ferraris are charging forward. It looks like we're in for another fascinating battle between Max and Lewis Hamilton today. #f1news #f1content #hungariangp

A FIRST FOR FREDDIE Here's Freddie Slater, fresh from winning his first-ever Formula 3 Feature Race. The Brit took an early lead and kept his nerve to hold off Ugo Ugochukwu in the closing stages to claim victory. It's been an impressive rookie season for Freddie so far, with seven podiums in seven rounds, and now a championship lead to go with it. He was visibly delighted as he made his way through the paddock. #f1news #f1content #hungariangp

A FIGHT FROM P7 Championship leader Kimi Antonelli will start today's race from P7, meaning he'll have some overtaking to do if he wants to return to the top step of the podium. The Mercedes driver qualified fourth, but a grid penalty sees him starting further back. He certainly has the pace, though, and will be hoping to use it to fight his way through the field. #f1news #f1content #hungariangp

UNLUCKY AGAIN It seemed George Russell's luck might finally be changing this weekend, with Mercedes identifying the issues that had been affecting his car. However, a water leak put paid to his qualifying yesterday. He'll start today's race from P6, with former teammate Lewis Hamilton alongside him on the grid. #f1news #f1content #hungariangp

BACK ON TOP Lando Norris took pole for the Hungarian Grand Prix, beating Lewis Hamilton by just 0.012 seconds. This was his first pole of the season on a track where starting from the front is crucial. #f1 #formula1 #hungariangp

SO CLOSE Lewis Hamilton missed out on pole in Hungary, finishing just 0.012 seconds behind Lando Norris. He felt Ferrari had the pace all session. "It's definitely one that got away," he said after qualifying. #f1 #formula1 #hungariangp

FIRST Q2 OF THE SEASON Fernando Alonso made it into Q2 for the first time this year. Aston Martin brought 16 new parts to the car this weekend, and it's already paying off. He went out in 16th, but for a team that's spent the whole season at the back, this is real progress. #f1 #formula1 #hungariangp

RED FLAG FRANCO The red flag was brought out in FP2 following an off for Franco Colapinto at the final turn. The medical car was deployed, but thankfully Franco is okay and was able to return to the paddock. The session has since resumed. #f1news #f1content #hungariangp
