With DTCC starting limited trading in July and going full scale in October 2026. DTCC has made the roles and importance of these five networks clear. $XRP and $XDC Network are the primary assets for settlement, while $LINK, $QNT and $HBAR provide the "piping" to make it happen. XRP: Leads for high-liquidity bank-to-bank settlement. In March 2026, Ripple Prime (formerly Hidden Road) was officially named a participant in the DTCC’s NSCC directory, specifically to facilitate institutional post-trade settlement using XRP as a bridge asset. XDC: Dominates in trade finance settlement. It is the primary rail for tokenized bills of lading and letters of credit, achieving under-2-second finality. Its 2026 growth is driven by its Contour acquisition, which integrated thousands of trade finance users directly onto the XDC rail. QNT: Focuses on CBDC-to-commercial bank settlement. Its Overledger platform allows central banks (like the Bank of England) to settle tokenized liabilities using regulated "locked" digital currencies rather than open-market bridge assets. Chainlink and HBAR however, currently hold the deepest structural integrations within the traditional financial bank systems. LINK: The most integrated data and messaging layer. By 2026, Chainlink has moved into full production with the DTCC, Swift, and Euroclear to automate $58 billion in annual corporate actions (dividends, splits). It uses its CCIP and Runtime Environment (CRE) to link existing Swift messages directly to the DTCC's private blockchain nodes. HBAR: Holds a governance-level integration. As a member of the Linux Foundation's Decentralized Trust alongside the DTCC, Hedera is the preferred public chain for "RWA" (Real-World Asset) notary services. Its Governing Council members, including Google, IBM, and Standard Bank - use the network to track the lifecycle of assets that the DTCC eventually clears. QNT: Deeply embedded via the Murex partnership. Murex's MX.3 platform, used by 60,000+ traders daily - now has native Overledger integration, allowing banks to "switch on" blockchain features within their existing trading terminals. With this cleared out, we now know the importance of these networks within DTCC’s Financial Infrastructure.

DTCC Just announced they will start limited trading of Tokenized Securities in July. DTCC is THE US 🇺🇸 Financial infrastructure provider that is backing - or partnering with projects like $LINK, $XRP, $HBAR, $QNT and $XDC This will be HUGE for these networks.

Vamos a ver.

LOBSTR Wallet
LOBSTR Wallet@lobstr·
Alright, class, XRP Ledger time! 🦞📒 LOBSTR just expanded beyond @StellarOrg. You can now create or import an XRP Ledger wallet directly inside the app, and manage $XRP and $RLUSD without switching platforms. Notebooks open, let's learn the network you just unlocked! 📖👇 1️⃣ What Is the XRP Ledger? The XRP Ledger is a decentralized, open-source blockchain launched in 2012 by David Schwartz, @JedMcCaleb, and Arthur Britto, three of the same engineers who would go on to found @Ripple. It was built with one core obsession: move value across borders fast, cheaply, and without intermediaries. The numbers still hold up in 2026: • 3–5 second settlement. Every transaction • Fees under $0.01, consistently • 1,500 transactions per second • Over 2.8 billion transactions settled since launch • Zero downtime since 2012 Jake 🦞🤓: No downtime in over a decade? That's a serious uptime record. Most traditional financial infrastructure can't say the same. The XRPL has been running quietly and reliably while everything around it was making noise. Matt 🦞🤤: And XRP is the native token of this network? Correct. XRP is used to pay transaction fees on the ledger. Those fees aren't collected by validators, they're burned. Every transaction destroys a tiny amount of XRP permanently, making the supply slightly deflationary over time. 2️⃣ How Does It Reach Consensus Without Mining? The XRPL doesn't use Proof of Work or Proof of Stake. It uses something called the Federated Consensus mechanism, and it's worth understanding why that matters. Here's how it works: Every transaction is broadcast to the network. Independent servers called validators compare their records and vote on which transactions are valid. When a supermajority of 80% or more agrees, the ledger closes and a new version is confirmed. That's it. No miners competing to solve puzzles, no validators locking up collateral, no energy waste. There are currently 150+ active validators on the XRPL, operated by universities, exchanges, businesses, and individuals worldwide. No single entity, including Ripple, controls the outcome. Ripple runs one node. Everyone else runs the rest. Ozzy 🦞😈: So Ripple doesn't control XRP Ledger? Ripple is a contributor, not a controller. Any protocol change requires 80% validator consensus. Ripple can't push changes unilaterally, and can't override the network. Jake 🦞🤓: And the carbon footprint? Negligible. No mining means no energy arms race. The XRPL is one of the few blockchains that has been carbon neutral since launch. 3️⃣ The Native DEX and AMM Here's something most people don't know: the XRPL had a built-in DEX before "DeFi" was even a word. The XRPL Decentralized Exchange has been running since 2012, directly on the ledger, with no external smart contracts required. It uses an order book model, limit orders, global price discovery, tradeable pairs between any two assets issued on the network. Then in March 2024, the XRPL added AMM support through the XLS-30 upgrade. Now it runs both systems simultaneously, just like Stellar: • Order book: traditional limit orders, manual price setting • AMM: liquidity pools, automated pricing, passive fee income for LPs • Auto-bridging: when you trade two assets with thin liquidity, XRP steps in automatically as the bridge currency between them Ozzy 🦞😈: So XRP acts as the default intermediary for illiquid pairs? Exactly. Instead of a direct RLUSD/EURS pool needing deep liquidity, the DEX routes it through XRP automatically. Two liquid pairs instead of one illiquid one. Matt 🦞🤤: And I can access the XRPL DEX through LOBSTR? That's the integration. Your XRPL wallet inside LOBSTR gives you access to trade XRP and RLUSD directly, with the same simple interface you already know. 4️⃣ Trust Lines and the Reserve Two concepts you'll hit immediately when using your XRPL wallet: Trust Lines To hold any token other than XRP on the ledger, you need to set a trustline with the issuer. This is the XRPL's anti-spam mechanism, you explicitly choose which assets can appear in your wallet. Without a trustline, the asset simply won't show up, even if someone sends it to you. Same logic as Stellar, different name. The Base Reserve Every XRPL account must hold a minimum of 10 XRP at all times. This is not a fee, it stays in your account. It's a spam prevention mechanism that ensures accounts on the network represent real intent, not bots farming addresses. Each additional trustline you open increases your required reserve slightly. Jake 🦞🤓: So I need at least 10 XRP just to activate my wallet? Correct. Think of it as the entry deposit to participate in the network. It never leaves your account unless you close it entirely. Matt 🦞🤤: Does LOBSTR handle the trustline setup automatically? LOBSTR guides you through it. Adding an asset triggers the trustline prompt in the app, same flow as adding a Stellar asset. 5️⃣ RLUSD and the Institutional Moment RLUSD is @Ripple's dollar-backed stablecoin, issued natively on the XRP Ledger, fully redeemable 1:1 for USD. It's not just another stablecoin. RLUSD is specifically designed for institutional settlement, cross-border payments, FX rails, and liquidity provisioning, with Ripple's compliance infrastructure behind it. And the timing is significant. XRPL RWA activity surged 875% in recent months, pushing the ecosystem toward $2.5 billion in total value. Institutions including Mastercard, BlackRock, and Franklin Templeton are already engaged with the XRPL ecosystem. LOBSTR now lets over 1.3 million users store and transact RLUSD directly, in the same wallet they use for XLM and Stellar assets, in collaboration with @xrpl_commons. Ozzy 🦞😈: So institutional money is flowing in, and retail access just got easier. That's a useful combination. That's exactly the moment this integration is landing in. Jake 🦞🤓: Is RLUSD available to buy directly inside LOBSTR? Yes. Buy, store, send, and receive both XRP and RLUSD without leaving the app. 6️⃣ To Conclude Quick recap, what did we learn? Jake 🦞🤓: The XRPL is a 12-year-old blockchain built for payments, with its own consensus mechanism, a native DEX, AMM support, and near-zero fees? And it's been running without downtime since day one. Matt 🦞🤤: And now I can access all of it, XRP, RLUSD, the DEX, without leaving LOBSTR? One app. Two networks. No switching. Ozzy 🦞😈: "Stellar for the ecosystem. XRP Ledger for the rails. LOBSTR for both." That's the new reality. LOBSTR just got bigger. Class dismissed, dear LOBSTRS! Two networks, zero excuses! 🦞🩵
