We're updating the Stage 1 minimum challenge period requirement for optimistic rollups from 7 days to 5 days.
TLDR: we find that when strong censorship attacks are excluded, a 5d challenge period is a comfortable lower bound in the presence of soft censorship and network delays for Stage 1: 1d to resolve economic attacks and 4d for network delays. The 7d bound for Stage 2 is unaffected.
