The United Nations recognizes April 2nd as World Autism Awareness Day. This year’s theme is “Autism and Humanity - Every Life has Value,” underscoring the dignity and humanity of people with autism to counter widespread misinformation and regressive rhetoric.

Congrats to our very own Human Relations Advocate, Yenise Camacho, who is having a baby girl! Earlier this month, we celebrated her pregnancy with a baby shower to show our love and support for Yenise and wish her the best in welcoming one of our newest Angelenos.

We are closely monitoring the synagogue attack in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Our hearts are with the Temple Israel community — we stand strongly against antisemitism and condemn this and any act of violence against the Jewish community. LAPD will continue its increased patrols around places of worship across L.A. to keep Angelenos safe.

Join us on March 26 for our Annual TGI2+ Job Fair hosted by our Transgender Advisory Council. Every year, this event connects Angelenos with LGBTQIA+-specific organizations that provide jobs and other resources.

We are excited to announce LA Civil Rights 5th Annual Law Day! This year, we are introducing a new 90 min virtual format and hope to continue providing guidance and resources to future law students!
