The hot stage separation blows my mind🤯it's the real heart of the booster's job, way more critical than the flashy landing everyone cheers for. According to Grok, it happens at 60-70 km where the air is razor-thin. Starship fires its engines while still clamped to the booster, and both stages are blasting explosive gases at the same time. In that near-vacuum the exhaust doesn't behave like it does down here; it explodes outward in unpredictable ways and hammers the top of the booster with insane heat and pressure. It's wild that it doesn't just blow up🔥those gases are so tricky in space-like conditions, yet it separates clean every time, and that's what makes the whole reusability thing possible. Friday evening rant. I tried something different this pay period. Instead of threads, I wrote full articles. Research-heavy, source-dense, hundreds of hyperlinks manually verified. The kind of work I actually want to be doing. It tanked, engagement wise. Threads compress well. Articles don't. I argue by accumulation… receipts stacked on receipts, and that style eats hours. Twelve-plus-hour days, seven days a week, between X and private client work. The engagement numbers stopped reflecting that, but that's how it goes. I've never blamed the algorithm. It's a free platform, free market. And plenty of you pay $3/month to subscribe, which I genuinely appreciate. This isn't a complaint. It's me being honest that I'm still figuring out the format. The research is the easy part. Packaging it so people actually read it, and keeping up with algorithm changes… that's the struggle I'm still learning. Back to work.
