Relaxing in the garden after a bit of gardening this morning. Refreshing glass of Pimms and Sprite (with a good helping of fruit salad in it 😂), a nice breeze keeping me from melting in the mid-30s heat and an album I’ve not listened to in its entirety since a teenager.

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your Memorial Day! It’s Monday afternoon so you know that means it’s time for the HAIR ME OUT show on Oldies 103 recap! Last nights show was a fun one! If you missed it, I decided to do another mystery theme show and the guesses were awesome! In the end six people correctly guessed that every song had cowbell in them! Some songs rode the cowbell throughout the verse while others it was in the chorus. Some songs used it only to count the song and others used it as an accent in a drum fill. Some songs it was pretty prevalent in the mix while a couple had it buried in the mix. @HairMtlMessiah Absolutely. There’s a massive chemistry element to it, and therefore consistency on and off stage Aerosmith are a phenomenal band Annihilator released 2 massive albums n a bunch of killer tracks but that’s Jeff Waters and not a band

What a great question! I think a great album and a great band are two different animals. A great album can be one night where everything lined up. Right songs, right producer, right time, right magic! A great band? That’s surviving the bar fights, lineup changes, record label idiots, bad haircuts, and still coming back swinging with riffs and hooks! Any band can catch lightning once.
