@liam_greenslade @HW1LL1AMS Gatland said in the week that Anscombe was no longer an option at full-back as he has lost a yard of pace.

Wales coach Warren Gatland says the wrong player went on when Mason Grady went off injured. He says the intention was for Ellis Bevan to go on rather than Sam Costelow in that situation. Sounds like a breakdown in communication.

@HW1LL1AMS @simonrug Understand that logic, but he could have moved Anscombe to Fullback, Costelow to 10 and Winnett to the wing?... Costelow was clearly struggling for some time to cope on the wing.

@liam_greenslade @simonrug Because Gatland decided to have a 6/2 split on the bench. He therefore only had one more back substitute to make. I assume they didn’t want to make that substitution too early in case they had an injury later. A catalogue of errors….

Ben Thomas (& T Williams) can cover 10 anyway so would Tompkins/Watkin have been the better bench option over Costelow? (Llewellyn has played on the wing before and undoubtedly more physical than Costelow in Defence)
