In a culture that monetizes uniqueness and rewards differentiation, the highest compliment became “you’re literally me.” That’s not a nickname. That’s a nervous system looking for safety in sameness. The mattress sizes thing is funny. The pattern underneath is a generation building its own status economy because the default one made them miserable.
